Café Metropole is the newest brand of café bistros to hit the UK, with a cosmopolitan menu and a modern approach to food that offers great value casual dining right through the day. At the newest branch, open now in Edinburgh, Dinerware point of sale software has been installed to manage the business. Dinerware is used by restaurant and bar staff who have grown up with computers, who expect modern point of sale systems to help facilitate a great guest experience, and who require their restaurant EPOS to automate workflow and communicate orders to the kitchen so the staff can prepare the right food at the right time.
After five months of using Dinerware, Café Metropole staff are delighted with its ease of use and versatility. “The ease of use was one of the main reasons why we chose Dinerware, along with its ability to add products and the very reasonable cost of the system,” says Area Manager Kelly Maclean. “It fits in perfectly with our way of working, and we have had no problems since its installation.” Café Metropole uses social media sites to attract and retain customers and has, so far, not called upon Dinerware’s versatile loyalty card system to help.
Utilisation of the system’s mobility facilities are also something for the future. “We believe that quality food can be madeavailable at a price which is affordable and in a relaxing environment,” says Kelly. “The fast service and ease of use that Dinerware offers enable us to concentrate on service to our customers. “I have used a couple of other systems in the past, and they have crashed a lot. We have had no such problems with Dinerware. I would rate the quality and reliability of the product ten out of ten.
